Stainless steels are a family of iron based alloys that contain a minimum of 10.5% chromium (CR). The presence of chromium creates an invisible surface film that resists oxidation and makes the material passive or corrosion resistant (stainless). There are multiple families of stainless steel which are designed for various applications and uses. Stainless grades can be further modified to meet various processing, corrosion, temperature and strength conditions.

Stainless steel plate is generally a general term for stainless steel plate and acid-resistant steel plate. Coming out at the beginning of this century, the development of stainless steel plates laid an important material and technological foundation for the development of modern industry and technological progress. There are many kinds of stainless steel plates and steel plates with different properties. It has gradually formed several major categories in the development process. According to the organizational structure, it is divided into four categories: austenitic stainless steel plate, martensitic stainless steel plate (including precipitation hardened stainless steel plate), ferritic stainless steel plate, and austenitic plus ferritic duplex stainless steel plate. The main chemical composition or some characteristic elements in the steel plate are classified into chromium stainless steel plate, chromium nickel stainless steel plate, chromium nickel molybdenum stainless steel plate and low carbon stainless steel plate, high molybdenum stainless steel plate, high purity stainless steel plate and so on. According to the performance characteristics and use of the steel plate, it is divided into nitric acid resistant stainless steel plate, sulfuric acid resistant stainless steel plate, pitting corrosion resistant stainless steel plate, stress corrosion resistant stainless steel plate, high-strength stainless steel plate, etc. According to the functional characteristics of the steel plate, it is divided into low temperature stainless steel plate, non-magnetic stainless steel plate, free-cutting stainless steel plate, superplastic stainless steel plate

300 Series stainless steels are classified as austenitic, and are hardenable only by cold working methods. These grades of stainless have chromium (approx. 18 to 30%) and nickel (approx. 6 to 20%) as their major alloying additions. Type 304  is the most widely used alloy of all stainless steels. 300 Series Stainless steel alloys resist corrosion, maintain their strength at high temperatures and are easy to maintain.

Cut large coils into small coils or Strip.
For steel coils, we can cut one large steel coil into small steel coils for loading at seaport; because for container shipping, each container usually loads weight can not be over 26 tons, but each large coil is usually about 28 tons, so one large coils has to be cut into small coils, and because the forklift usually takes 7-10 tons at seaport, so for easy loading into conatiner, each large steel coil usually is cut into 3 small coils. For bulk vessel shipping, it usually demands coils weight under 18 tons, so most times, also need cut one large coil into 2 small coils.
Open flat coils into steel plate.
For final application, need open flat the coils and cut the coils into steel plate, so we open flat the coils and cut the coils to steel plate to the sizes as required. For saving cost for loading by container, load into 20 feet containers, so cut the length under 5800mm, usually as required to cut to length 2440mm and 5800mm, width usually be 1220mm and 1500mm.after cutting the steel coils into steel plate, we can do black paints on the surface of the plate to make the plate to be anti-rust.
